Annie Happel is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from The Wright Institute. In addition to her counseling work at Edna Maguire, she is a psychotherapist at MindFit DBT Center in Mill Valley.
Annie has received intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and works primarily with young children, adolescents, young adults and families. She works with clients to help them develop and achieve their own life worth living goals, balancing acceptance and change in a non-judgmental and collaborative space. She has previously dedicated her time to counseling high school students, providing support to those struggling with depression, anxiety, self-injury behavior, suicidal ideation, PTSD, substance abuse, eating disorders, and grief. Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, Annie pursued a successful career in restaurant marketing and public relations in San Francisco. She is a partner and mother of two daughters who, along with her clients, inspire and teach her something new every day.
