Brené Brown insightfully states, “We are biologically, cognitively, physically, and spiritually wired to love, to be loved, and to belong. When those needs are not met, we don’t function as we were meant to. We break. We fall apart. We numb. We ache. We hurt others. We get sick.”

    My Approach

Creating a warm and nurturing therapeutic environment is crucial for helping my clients feel safe, heard, and free. I offer a kind and compassionate orientation to my work, meeting clients where they are without judgment or criticism. As a therapist, I strive to foster a collaborative relationship with my clients, facilitating their inner exploration to achieve greater self-awareness, which, in turn, supports healthier and more interconnected relationships with both their inner and outer worlds.

I believe that supportive relationships are essential for healing and thriving. Therefore, I value relational attunement and repair as guiding principles for staying connected with my clients’ needs and emotional struggles. My approach draws on humanistic and trauma-informed frameworks, grounded in fundamental concepts from psychodynamic, attachment, and somatic physiology theories. I utilize modalities such as CBT, DBT, and Somatic Internal Family Systems to provide comprehensive therapeutic guidance. Recognizing that each individual has a unique journey and set of challenges, I tailor my approach to meet each person’s specific needs. I welcome individuals of all cultural, ethnic, gender, and sexual identities, offering a therapeutic alliance rooted in a safe and loving relational space.

Support for Children, Teens, and Adults

In my work with children, teens, and adults, I combine insights from my personal healing journey with my extensive education to provide a compassionate and informed therapeutic approach. Adolescence, in particular, can be a tumultuous time for both the individual and their entire family. I am here to support the whole family, as we are not meant to face these challenges alone. I have a strong interest and experience in helping individuals address issues such as depression, anxiety, dissociative states, disordered eating, ADHD/ADD, OCD, and loss and bereavement. My approach emphasizes establishing a supportive and secure space where clients can examine their experiences and emotions openly, free from judgment. By integrating empathy with evidence-based practices, I aim to help individuals gain deeper self-understanding and develop effective coping strategies. Whether working with children, adolescents, or adults, my goal is to foster resilience and personal growth, guiding each person toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.

    Support for Couples

In my work with couples, I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help partners develop a deeper and more secure emotional connection. EFT is grounded in the understanding that emotional bonds are crucial for relationship satisfaction and stability. I provide a safe and supportive therapeutic space where couples can explore their emotional experiences and vulnerabilities without fear of judgment. By focusing on the underlying emotions that drive interactions and conflicts, I assist couples in identifying and expressing their needs more openly. My goal is to help partners reconnect and cultivate a more empathetic understanding of each other, fostering trust and emotional intimacy. Through this process, couples can strengthen their bond, navigate challenges with greater resilience, and ultimately enhance their relationship’s overall health and satisfaction.
